Celebrating 80 Years

We’re celebrating eight decades of helping Kiwis step up to the challenge, releasing a special commemorative boot to mark our 80th anniversary.

The story of New Zealand’s iconic footwear brand began in 1934 when the Daisley family created strong, safe boots for the booming industrial and farming markets, from a factory on Khyber Pass Road in Auckland.

Over the years, the family business flourished as New Zealand did. As the country progressed, so too did John Bull.

Always a pioneer (the company introduced steel toe caps and flexible moulded soles very early in its history), John Bull footwear was quick to move to the latest technology providing premium comfort and safety features.

Today, John Bull is the leading and most respected boot brand by a country mile, in a place where conditions demand the very best in protective footwear.

Decades of innovative design and production have meant Kiwi farmers, builders, engineers – everyone - have worn footwear that is comfortable, tough and safe. Our ongoing research and development sees continual improvements while retaining the traditional robust work boot features that the brand is renowned for.

80 years on, John Bull is still going strong. You can rely on our boots to see you through any challenge.
